Entropy

Free standing  sculpture. Dimensions H96"xW 50”xD28” (the depth and width are variable dimensions). Fabricated with steel, brass, and metallic rustic patina. Multi colored lightbulbs have been installed inside the sculpture projecting and rotating a rainbow of distinctive colors. Overall the sculpture engages the viewer with a timeless abstract object; ancient and modern at the same time.   Other rainbow colors are  rotating and changing  and automatically fading out to the next. Click here for a video!  A visual interplay with effusive traces of light and shadow pass through the open cavities of the steel structure and evoke a spiritual presence. I attempt to translate a scientific concept of entropy to explore sculptural aesthetics. Philosophically speaking, entropy is an inspiration with the essences of spirituality.
