Stefan Alexandres is both a jeweler and a sculptor. Born in Athens, Greece. He apprenticed in metal arts in the traditional old-world methods guided by the organized guilds of Greece from 1964 to 1972. His formal training is based in the art of the Archaic and the folklore Byzantine art. He immigrated to America in 1988 with his family. Alexandres has traveled throughout Europe, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Mexico,Peru, and Panama.
For over 30 years, Stefan has worked as a metalsmith repousse artist and as department manager at the “Medieval Life” folklore craft village and museum. Since 2008, he teaches metal arts as a faculty instructor at the Crealde School of Art.
He received a United Arts of Central Florida individual artists award in 2007 and 2010. Stefan exhibits in national and International shows inmuseums and galleries.
